Finally got Photoshop to cooperate in creating a logo for the website.
Its really a simple process but for some weird reason the lettering came out with a white background instead of a transparent one. I discovered that exporting the file as a .png (with layers, do not flatten) finally gives me the simple, silver lettering with a transparent background.
Just one little victory.
